			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the addition of Jump Lists to the taskbar in Windows 7, I couldn’t pass up creating a new root folders solution to leverage this organization on the Start Menu. By combining WPF and .NET 4’s new <a href="http://blog.280z28.org/go.php?http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.shell(VS.100).aspx" title="(236 hits)">Windows Shell APIs</a>, the result was remarkably simple. I’ve included the source code in the archive below if you want to see the details.</p>

<p>To use the application:</p>

<ol>   <li>Download the <a href="http://blog.280z28.org/go.php?http://www.280z28.org/downloads/RootFolders7.zip" title="(164 hits)">RootFolders7.zip (22kB)</a> archive and extract the contents to some location (C:\Program Files\RootFolders perhaps?)</li>    <li>Right click RootFolders.exe and select “Pin to Start Menu”.</li>    <li>On the start menu, you can hold shift and right click the shortcut to rename it to “Root Folders” (adding a space).</li>    <li>Run the application to configure your root folder targets, then select File &gt; Save Changes.</li> </ol>
